FRY ALLOY 50 (22-13-5)

Fry Alloy 50 is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy grade This alloy provides high tensile and high yield strength. Outstanding corrosion resistance in coastal environments. Its corrosion resistance is greater than other typical austenitic grades such as SS 316/316L and 317/317L. It is also capable of nearly double the yield strength of similar austenitic grades. This material offers yield strength three times that of 316. Alloy 50 is typically used for parts requiring excellent corrosion resistance and high strength from -423 to +1100 F (-253 to +593 C) and for welded parts without subsequent heat treatment. This product is often used in Boat Shafts, Petroleum Pressure Vessels and Pump Shafts. (UNS S20910)
