Aluminum / EXT 6262 ALUM T6511

Grade 6262 Extruded (EX) / T-6511 Temper Aluminum is solution heat treated and artificially aged. This product also receives minor straightening in order to comply with standard tolerances. This product is not cold worked after solution heat treatment. Aluminum alloy 6262 has good corrosion resistance and very good weldability. Elements bismuth and lead are added to this material to provide excellent machining capabilities. This product is a heat treatable / free-machining alloy used to produce valves, screw machine parts, marine fittings, marine hardware and oil & gas fittings. (UNS A96262)
