H11 Vac Melt Annealed - Aircraft Alloys - Fry Steel

Aircraft Alloys / H-11 VAC MELT ANN

H11 Vac Melt is a 5% chromium alloy hot-work tool steel known for its incredible impact toughness. This double vacuum melted material provides a level of cleanliness that improves the level of mechanical properties. The alloy is a deep-hardening, air-hardening steel that exhibits minimal size change during heat treatment. This steel is used for hot tooling applications where maximum resistance to cracking is required. Alloy H11 is used to produce hot punches, die casting dies, forging dies, hot shear blades, extrusion tooling and highly stressed structural parts such as aircraft landing gear. (UNS T20811)
